After finding out about Starlight's passion for kites, Spike thought it be a great idea to ask her to go skydiving with him on their first date, without telling her it was a date. But just when they were ready to jump out of the plane, Spike's parachute fell off the plane, Spike got scared and didn't want to jump out of the plane after what happened. But Starlight didn't want Spike to miss out on all the action, so she grabbed him while he wasn't looking and jumped out of plane with him. She hold him tight around her hooves and told him everything was going to be fine, but then she realized Spike had passed out a few minutes after leaving the plane. So to wake him up, Starlight gave him a kiss to calm him down, and that's how Starlight fell in love with Spike
